Privacy notice
Last updated 30 October 2026.
We collect as little as we can. Pupils and learners use a nickname, never their real name. We don't show adverts, we don't sell data, and we don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Pupils at school
- What we keep: a nickname, a class name, a PIN (stored only as a scrambled code we can't read back), quiz results and progress.
- What we never get: real names, emails or photos of pupils. Teachers keep real names in a file on their own computer.
- Who decides: the school. We act on the school's instructions (the school is the "controller", we are its "processor").
- How long: results and progress for the school year plus one term; everything is deleted within 30 days if a school leaves. A teacher can delete a pupil at any time.
Individual Licence and free trial
- Free trial: the same as below, on 2 devices. We use the email only for your log in and, if you ask us, to set up the full licence.
- What we keep: the parent's email (to send the log in and about renewal), a nickname and PIN code for each learner, results and progress, and a list of the devices the licence is used on (a device name such as "Chrome on Windows", and when it was first and last used).
- Why: to provide the licence you bought, and to keep it to 5 devices.
- How long: while the licence runs and for 1 month after it ends, so you can renew without losing progress. Then all of it is deleted. A free trial is deleted when nobody has logged in to it for 1 month.
Teachers and parents
We keep your email, your initials and your password (stored as a scrambled code). We use your email only for your account.
Contact form
We keep what you send (your name, email, school name if you give it, and your message) for 12 months, only to reply to you and to set up what you asked for.
Payments
Card payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or keep your card number. Stripe has its own privacy notice.

On Cloudflare's servers, in the European Union. Cloudflare runs the site for us.

Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Schools: ask your school first, as it decides about pupil data. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
